It sounds like the start of a romantic comedy no one would watch: (I'm aware this is cheesey but it's real life, I promise) 

We moved from NYC to DC with a 9-month-old who napped three times a day, then in with my mother-in-law for 16 months… and somehow came out the other side financially strong, emotionally intact, and living in our dream home.
